AMHL Summer Season

Team Fees
The team fee is $5333, plus GST. The total with GST is $5600 (rounded).
Discounts
$100 discount if the deposit is paid by February 15.
Another $100 discount if team fee is paid in full by April 1.
Division winners from last summer season will receive an additional $100 discount.
All discounts are deducted from the total cost (with gst).
Highlights regarding the summer season include:
- 16 regular season games plus playoffs.
- All teams advance to playoffs.
- Game days are Monday through Thursday.
- Games are NOT scheduled on weekends during the summer season.
- The season will start on May 1 and finish around mid August.
- All games are 1.5 hours with a flood every two periods.
- Game format is 3 twenty minute run time periods with the last two minutes in the first and second period plus the last five minutes in the third period being stop time, depending on the goal differential.
With this format teams will get more ice time especially during games with fewer whistles. - Line changes are allowed on all whistles.
- Overtime format is 3-on-3 for 3 minutes.
- Quality officiating - two referees and one timekeeper scheduled for every game.
- Attentive customer service.
- Game schedules posted well in advance.
- Divisional placement based on team’s playing ability. Divisional realignment will be done at certain points during the season.
- Team fees include player accident insurance.
Game Times and Arenas
Most start times are between 6:30 PM and 9:45 PM on Monday to Thursday.
There will be some games that start at 10:00, 10:15 or 10:30 but each team will have only one or two of these start times throughout the regular season.
No weekend games. We do our best to accommodate scheduling requests at no extra fee.
Arenas include Callingwood, Castledowns, Clareview, Confederation, Grand Trunk, Kenilworth, Kinsmen, Londonderry, Millwoods, South Side, Terwillegar, The Meadows.
Payment Schedule
| Upon registration: | Pay your $1000 deposit to secure your spot. |
| February 15: | Deposit is due to receive a $100 discount. |
| April 1: | $2000 payment is due. |
| April 1: | Balance of team fees are due to receive a $100 discount. |
| May 15: | Balance of team fees due if not paid by April 1. |
Payment Method:
- Interac email transfer, cheque, credit card, bank draft, money order and cash are accepted.

Receipts will be emailed to the team representative once a payment is received.
Team Roster
Teams may register up to 30 players.
Team managers will receive an email from League Administration in April with instructions for player registration. The registration deadline for the summer season is June 1 and all players must register before they play their first game or by June 1, whichever comes first.

We are compiling a list of individual players who are looking for a team to play on. If you need players to fill your roster, please request the list of available players by emailing amhl@shaw.ca or call 780-249-5665. The list of available players will only be given to team representatives after the deposit has been received.
